On May 19th, the International Scientific Committee (ISC) of the XVIII World Water Congress (hereinafter referred to as the“Congress”) held its third meeting online. The ISC’s Co-Chairs, Madam Renée Martin-Nagle and Madam Shi Qiuchi, chaired the meeting. In addition, all the Vice-Chairs of ISC, representatives from the IWRA’s Executive Office, and the Congress Secretariat attended the meeting.

The nomination of ISC members, the schedule of the academic activities of the Congress, and the proposed Congress topics were reviewed and discussed. It was agreed that the ISC members must be confirmed by Vice-Chairs in each taskforce group as soon as possible. Then, the four groups will act according to ISC tasks and responsibilities. The schedule of the academic activities of the Congress and the proposal of the Congress topics will be further improved and submitted to the Congress Organizing Committee (COC) after consultation with the National Organizing Committee (NOC).
