As climate change continues to intensify, accurate and efficient flood prediction is becoming more and more of a hot issue. This Special Session will address the new schemes of flood disaster assessment and strategies of risk management, including providing integrated catchment/urban models involving flood disaster assessment approaches and risk reduction strategies, methods that help update forecasts in real-time to reduce bias and increase accuracy, and case study demonstrations of their use.
