Dr. Han-Chieh Lin is now the professor and consultant of Division of Hepatology & Gastroenterology at Taipei Veterans General Hospital. Dr. Lin has deeply involved in the research of pathophysiology of cirrhotic portal hypertension, liver fibrosis, and complications of cirrhosis. He spent one year in Paris as a research fellow with Professor Didier Lebrec from 1989 to 1990. He was the President of Taiwan Association of the Study of the Liver from 2020 to 2022. He had been acting as an “Executive Committee Member” of the Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver (APASL) from 2017 to 2020. He was the president of APASL in 2023. Currently, he is one of the “Steering Committee Member” of APASL. He has been invited to serve as an “Associate Editor” of “Liver International” from 2008 to 2014; “Journal of Hepatology” from 2015 to 2017; and “Hepatology International” from 2019 to present time. He has published more than 350 peer-reviewed articles in SCI journals in which around 90 articles were first or corresponding author.
