Dr Hong Tang is the Professor of The Center of Infectious Diseases, and the Director of Institute of Infectious Diseases, West China Hospital of Sichuan University; the Director of Division of Infectious Diseases, State Key Laboratory of Biotherapy..  

Prof. Tang serves as vice chairman of the branch committee of infection, Chinese Medical Association; the Third and Fourth Committees vice chairman of branch committee of infection, Chinese Medical Doctor Association; the director of Sichuan Medical Doctor Association for Infectious Diseases.

Dr. Hong Tang acted as person in charge of more than 20 Chinese National foundation funded research program focusing on the molecular biology and pathogenic mechanism of HBV and HCV and other liver diseases. She was also the PI of more than 30 multicentre clinical trials for studying of the efficacy and safety of anti-HBV and anti-HCV drugs. She has published more than 300 English papers and reviews in the field of viral hepatitis, liver diseses and infectious diseases. Prof. Tang has abundant experience in clinical work and teaching for medical student.
