叶克强教授是深圳理工大学(筹)生命健康学院系主任、讲席教授,曾任美国埃默里大学(Emory University)终身教授、博士生导师。致力于神经退行性疾病研究领域20多年,主要研究方向包括:1、神经退行性疾病发病机制及早期诊断;2、小分子神经退行性疾病新药物的开发及研究;3、药物的筛选,化学合成,改造及药物设计。
叶克强教授曾荣获多项国际科学奖项,曾主持美国国立卫生研究院、国防部科学基金和美国癌症协会等项目,总研究经费超3000万美元;共发表论文256篇,其中Nature、Cell、Neuron等杂志发表高影响因子文章69篇,总影响因子超过2900分,H因子73,被引次数共计19304次。叶克强教授申请美国及世界发明专利24项。
Prof. Keqiang Ye is a world-renowned neuroscientist in the neurodegenerative disease and drug development field. He is also recognized as an international authority in small molecular drug discovery and development.
Prof. Ye was appointed to Assistant Professor at Emory University School of Medicine in 2001-2007 and promoted to tenured Associate Professor from 2007 to 2010, and Full Professor at Emory from 2010 to 2021. He took the chair professor position at Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology (SIAT), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), in 2021.
Prof. Ye is the recipient of numerous professional honors, including the Distinguished Scientist Award from the Sontag Foundation (2003) and American Cancer Research Scholar (2004), and he is also one of the semi-finalists for the Keck Foundation (2004). He has published approximately 256 papers with numerous papers in high-profile journals, including Cell, Nature, Nature Medicine, Nature Cell Biology, Nature Neuroscience, Neuron, and Mol. Cell, EMBO J, PNAS etc. His lab mainly focuses on neurotrophine-mediated neuronal survival signaling pathway and their roles in neurodegenerative diseases.
