Chongqing Medical University / 重庆医科大学
Dr Ju obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Northwest Agriculture and forest University, where he studied the development of obesity and the differentiation of adipocyte with porcine as animal model. Dr. Ju took his Ph.D. and postdoctoral training in Dr. Erquan Zhang lab at National Institute of Biological Science from 2011-2020, where he became interested into the circadian biology and RNA epigenetic regulation. During that period, he discovered a circadian phase shift compound and its target gene RUVBL2 as a new clock gene, he also solved the mysterious of how FTO enzymatic activity involved metabolic disorders through a transcriptional factor FOXO1. He was recruit as a vice principal investigator in The Second Affiliated Hospital, Chongqing Medical University. His research interest now is focused in understanding the transcriptional mechanism of mammalian circadian clock, and the spatial logic of SCN orchestrate physiological output rhythms.
